The atmosphere in Ondo West and East Federal constituency, was filled with excitement, unity, and democratic spirit as members and stakeholders of the Social Democratic Party successfully concluded the party’s primary election.

He said the primary election, which witnessed massive participation from party delegates, supporters, youth groups, women leaders, and political stakeholders across the constituency, was conducted peacefully, transparently, and in accordance with democratic principles. The exercise reflected the party’s commitment to internal democracy, fairness, and credible leadership selection.
The (P.R.O) emphasise that, Barr. Gbenga Akinbuli, popularly known as BGA, emerged victorious after securing overwhelming support from delegates and party faithful who expressed confidence in his leadership capacity, political experience, and vision for the development of Ondo West and Ondo East Federal Constituency.
In his acceptance speech shortly after the announcement of the results, BGA appreciated party executives, delegates, supporters, and members of the SDP family for the trust and confidence reposed in him.
He described his victory as a collective mandate aimed at delivering quality representation, youth empowerment, infrastructural growth, economic opportunities, and people-oriented governance across the constituency.
According to him, the successful conduct of the primary election demonstrates the growing strength and unity of the SDP in Ondo State, while also signaling a new chapter of progressive politics for the people of Ondo West and Ondo East.
Party leaders at the event commended the peaceful conduct of delegates and aspirants, noting that the exercise further strengthened the credibility and democratic values of the SDP. They urged all members to remain united and work collectively towards achieving victory in the forthcoming general elections.
Supporters and political observers also described the emergence of Barr. Gbenga Akinbuli as a strategic and promising development, expressing optimism that his candidacy would bring renewed hope, effective representation, and sustainable development to the federal constituency.
