President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, on his 72nd birthday, recognising his contributions to education, leadership development and humanitarian activities.
In a birthday message released on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the president described Oyedepo as a prominent figure whose influence extends beyond religious activities to education and human development.
Tinubu highlighted the cleric's role in establishing educational institutions, particularly Covenant University and Landmark University, noting their contributions to academic training, entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership development.
The president also acknowledged Oyedepo's decades of religious ministry, which have extended across Nigeria and other parts of the world. He noted that the bishop's books and teachings have reached audiences beyond the country's borders.
Tinubu further recognised the educational and humanitarian initiatives associated with Oyedepo's ministry, including schools, healthcare facilities and support for people in need through the David Oyedepo Foundation.
According to the president, the cleric's activities in education, publishing, humanitarian service and leadership development have contributed to the growth of his ministry's presence both within and outside Nigeria.
As part of his birthday message, Tinubu commended Oyedepo for his longstanding commitment to religious service and investments in human-capital development.
The president also offered prayers for the cleric, wishing him continued wisdom, strength, good health and renewed grace as he marks his 72nd birthday.
