The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of candidates who will contest the House of Representatives seats across Ondo State in the 2027 general elections.
The publication of the list brings further clarity to the political race ahead of the 2027 elections, as candidates representing various political parties are now officially listed for the nine Federal Constituencies in the state.
According to the released list, **91 candidates from different political parties** are set to contest the nine House of Representatives seats in Ondo State.
The constituencies include **Akoko North-East/Akoko North-West, Akoko South-East/Akoko South-West, Owo/Ose, Idanre/Ifedore, Akure North/Akure South, Ondo West/Ondo East, Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo/Odigbo, Okitipupa/Irele and Ilaje/Ese-Odo.**
Among the notable names appearing on the list are **Ifeoluwa Babajide Ehindero of the All Progressives Congress (APC)**, **Tajudeen Adeyemi Adefisoye, popularly known as “Small Alhaji,” of the Social Democratic Party (SDP)**, and **Timehin Adelegbe Emmanuel of the APC**, among other candidates across the different constituencies.
With the candidates now officially known, attention will increasingly shift towards issues such as **quality representation, constituency development, employment opportunities, infrastructure, youth empowerment and accountability**.
As the election approaches, voters will have the opportunity to assess the candidates, their records, programmes and campaign promises before making their choices
