The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 12 establishments across different parts of the state over persistent noise pollution and other environmental regulatory violations.

According to LASEPA, the enforcement operation was carried out on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.

Speaking on the enforcement exercise, LASEPA General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to protecting public health and preserving the environment through continuous monitoring and enforcement of environmental standards across Lagos State.

Ajayi said environmental compliance was a collective responsibility, adding that LASEPA would continue to take enforcement action against individuals, businesses, religious organisations and corporate bodies whose activities pose risks to the environment and public health.

He urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and residents across the state to adopt responsible environmental practices, obtain required permits and approvals, comply with environmental regulations and cooperate with LASEPA in promoting a cleaner and more sustainable Lagos.
